How much is worth risking?

Gabe Sullivan risks his life every day as a firefighter in San Francisco, but he knows better than to risk giving his heart again. Especially not to the woman he saved from a deadly apartment fire…and can't stop thinking about.

Megan Harris owes everything to the heroic firefighter who saved her and her daughter. Everything except her heart. Because after losing her pilot husband, she has vowed to never suffer through loving—and losing—a man with a dangerous job again.

But when Gabe and Megan meet again, how can he possibly ignore her courage, determination and beauty? And how can she deny not only his strong bond with her daughter…but also his sweetly sensual kisses, challenging her to risk everything she's been guarding for so long?

If you’re expecting to not fall in love with Can’t Help Falling in Love you’re going to be disappointed, because you really CAN’T help it. This book was all about the slow burn and the anticipation. It was about slowly, unavoidably falling in love with someone you’re trying really hard to keep out of your life. It was sweet and hot and all I wanted to do was keep reading until the last page was turned, only to want to pick up the next book, I Only Have Eyes For You, the moment that happened.

I loved everything about Gabe Sullivan. Aside from the fact he’s a seriously hot firefighter, he’s SUCH a good guy! He was sweet, caring, and charming. And hot! Did I mention that? Ok, good. His only thing is that he has the hard and fast rules he lives by, like not dating victims he’s rescued, which is a sound rule, right? Yeah, but it’s really getting in the way of him and Megan being together!

Megan and her daughter Summer steal your heart from the start, as they did Gabe’s. Megan has rules of her own, like not dating any thrill seekers…or guys with dangerous jobs, such as firefighters. She’s just really scared of loving and losing again. I get it, I do. But Megan and Gabe create their own fire with the sparks of their chemistry and everybody sees it. I loved their chemistry and how they just wanted to jump each other but wouldn’t. Because when it finally did happen? WOW! Yeah, just wow.

I really loved how Gabe didn’t push Megan into anything. He gave her the room and the distance to let her realize they belonged together and that he was different. He really steals your heart, ladies. Especially anytime he’s interacting with Summer. Guys who are good with kids are keepers!

We do see some of the other Sullivans siblings in this one, but not as much as the previous book. I like how Bella Andre sets up the next book in the series in the Epilogue because that way the next story doesn’t crowd the current one. I’ve read some books where half of it was set up for the following and it ruined it for me. So, thank you, Bella Andre, for making these perfect. :)

Even though Gabe’s book wasn’t my favorite since Marcus took that spot, I truly love his book. I love all the Sullivan books because each stories has its unique attraction that pulls me in. Each Sullivan has a charm and sexyness that has no boundaries!

I love these books so much. There is just something about the Sullivan’s, you just can’t resist being pulled in. <3 And they just keep getting better. I'm really torn over which is my favorite. I kinda love them all.

I like to see strong world building. I believe world building in contemporary novels should be as strong as in SFF and historical novels.

I NEED TO TRY THESE BOOKS. I have 2 from NetGalley right now because of you, and I can’t wait.

What do I like to see in contemporary romance? I love a nice balance of friendship and romance (even though this doesn’t often happen). I see it in a few books for Fool’s Gold and then it loses it in the next one. Girlfriends who show up with martinis to nurse a broken heart are my favorite.

P.S. I love that this book is about a firefighter. Haven’t read anything like that yet!
